Mt. Agung Trekking

Mt. Agung is the highest mountain in Bali. It is 3142 meters above sea level. Since a last decade, Mt. Agung has erupted few times and the last one was in 1963. 
There are 2 trek starting point to get the top of the Mt. Agung. One is from Besakih temple and takes about 6 hours to get the top and another one is from Pura Pasar Agung, Selat. It takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to get the top from here. You will see beautiful view from the top, ie; ocean, Mt. Rinjani on Lombok island, beautiful sunrise, beautiful Batur caldera and lake Batur, Amlapura town, Semarapura town even Gianyar and Denpasar city. You will see 50% of the island of Bali from the top.
The best trekking is to see sunrise in the morning. We may start from  trekking starting point at around 11.00 pm from Besakih temple or 2.00 am from Pura Pasar Agung, Selat. So we must start from hotel as bellows:
  1. From Ubud to Besakih, start at 21.00. From Ubud to Pura Pasar Agung, start at 23.30
  2. From Sanur to Besakih, start at 20.30, to Pura Pasar Agung, start at 23.00
  3. From Kuta/Seminyak to Besakih, start at 20.00, to Pura Pasar Agung, start at 22.30
  4. From Jimbaran/Nusa Dua to Besakih, start at 20.00, to Pura Pasar Agung, start at 22.30
  5. From Candidasa to Besakih, start at 22.00, to Pura Pasar Agung, start at 22.00


It is very good exercise and you will see beautiful view of the real Bali, why you don't do once.

I. Trekking Guide only:
The Trekking Guide cost is USD 100.00/person
A trekking guide is allowed to handle maximum 4 persons

3. From Nusa Dua and Jimbaran area:
